La crisis46
El
capitalismo se encuentra en crisis sistémica. Como es sabido, Lenin,
siguiendo las demostraciones de Marx sobre las contradicciones y los límites
estructurales de la victoria del capitalismo sobre el régimen feudal, ofreció
su primera descripción teórica: cuando las clases dominantes ya no pueden estabilizar
el sistema que crearon y las nuevas clases aún no son capaces de conducir a la
sociedad hacia una estructura que le asegure un desarrollo mejor, más justo y
más eficiente. Concretamente, el momento de inicio convencional de la crisis
del sistema capitalista fue el comienzo de la Primera Guerra Mundial, que
demostró que, con el desarrollo general de las fuerzas productivas (de la civilización),
así como con la brutal extorsión de riquezas a las colonias que abarcaban una
superficie terrestre mucho mayor que la de las metrópolis imperialistas, la
competencia económica entre ellas era tan grande que su apariencia pacífica,
ilustrada por tantos documentos legales que respaldaban bellos principios
liberales utópicos, se rajó
El
capitalismo, por sus relaciones fundamentales, constituye un sistema mundial.
Como sistema mundial, el capitalismo entró en su crisis de raíz. Por esta
razón, la cura solo puede ser sistémica, a escala mundial48.
Y por esta razón, la crisis del sistema es un «sistema de crisis de sistemas»,
ya que se manifiesta tanto en todos los países como en todos los dominios
(economía, ciencia y tecnología, políticas, civilización, cultura, psique,
estados-nación, geopolítica). Obviamente, la intensidad de la crisis del
sistema no fue ni es la misma en todos los lugares y periodos de tiempo. Hubo y
hay ejemplos de países capitalistas: el «Primer Mundo» del núcleo del sistema
capitalista, que debe preservarse sin importar el precio que pague «el resto»
y, en general, la humanidad. Además, están las apariencias visibles de
la civilización: la infraestructura de las grandes ciudades, los
teléfonos móviles que todos usan y la ropa informal que todos visten, los
centros comerciales y el pago con tarjeta, los valores de transitoriedad y
relatividad generalmente asumidos, el rol de espectador frente a los
acontecimientos frenéticos que se suceden vertiginosamente y que, por lo tanto,
se consideran un entretenimiento inevitable; todo esto parece añadir al núcleo
privilegiado nuevos países como «aliados», que, por lo tanto, también tienen o
tendrán privilegios. ¿Y los que están fuera de este «mil millones de oro»?
Bueno, el único modelo, la única alternativa

es «nuestra», es el capitalismo, y quienes se oponen a él son, si no necios,
enemigos. Y el destino de los enemigos está «en el escudo»: en el fondo, ellos
mismos lo eligieron, ¿o no?
La
primera institucionalización oficial del gobierno de extrema derecha en el
período de entreguerras, la Segunda Guerra Mundial y luego las numerosas
guerras y eventos que nos acercaron al abismo49, al borde del
abismo, certificaron que el capitalismo se encuentra en crisis sistémica. El
estado de bienestar de la posguerra no significó que el fascismo del período de
entreguerras fuera un accidente y que

patriótica cubana y el sistema comunista (1961, 1962 – la Crisis de los Misiles
Cubanos, hasta hoy (véanse las resoluciones no vinculantes de la AGNU contra el
embargo económico, comercial y financiero estadounidense a Cuba, incluso la más

la Asamblea General aprueba abrumadoramente una resolución que insta a Estados
Unidos a poner fin al embargo a Cuba…,

participación imperialista para derrocar la revolución iraní (1979-actualidad).
Por lo tanto: las guerras militares colonialistas contra las colonias africanas
después de 1945, y los golpes militares (secamente, de extrema derecha) para
imponer el neocolonialismo en todos los países africanos que anteriormente
habían sido colonizados. Liberados del colonialismo secular de los países de
Europa Occidental; los golpes militares en países latinoamericanos contra las
fuerzas que luchaban por el desarrollo social, y la represión de extrema
derecha, respaldada por EE. UU. y las potencias de Europa Occidental, contra
estas fuerzas (1975-1983)…); las políticas imperialistas y anticomunistas en
Asia, para contener a la China comunista (1949-actualidad); y las políticas
anticomunistas de la «Guerra Fría» para contener (esta palabra significa
derrocar, destruir) a la URSS y sus aliados europeos. Así como el terrorismo de
Estado en los estados democráticos occidentales —a través de la colaboración de
agencias de inteligencia estatales y grupos neofascistas no estatales, creados
y apoyados por el Estado— para atemorizar a la población y frenar la presión de
los sindicatos (como en Italia en 1969) y las protestas promovidas
especialmente por los jóvenes (1968-1969, especialmente en Francia e Italia).
En este contexto, una estrategia principal fue la influencia: 1) sobre los
jóvenes manifestantes de izquierda para que respondieran a la 1) La “pasividad”
del Estado y el terrorismo de extrema derecha, con el terrorismo opuesto
justificado como conquista del poder por la fuerza, un movimiento que pretendía
comprometer las ideas de izquierda, y 2) que los líderes comunistas aceptaran y
promovieran la postura de no oponerse a los partidos de derecha en el poder
(este era el “compromesso storico (compromiso
histórico)” de Berlinguer), es decir, de no promover la razón de ser de los
partidos comunistas: demostrar de forma permanente, clara y contundente que
las reformas democráticas dentro del sistema capitalista no son suficientes
para resolver las profundas contradicciones de este sistema, y que
la única vía es transformar las
relaciones estructurales de poder y económicas. El resultado de la colaboración
de clases en el capitalismo —como ocurrió en el “eurocomunismo” occidental— no
fue ni la presencia de comunistas en gobiernos de “solidaridad/unidad nacional”
ni el aumento de las políticas de izquierda en las reformas capitalistas, sino
la disminución irrevocable del prestigio y el poder de las ideas comunistas.
El contexto siempre es importante y el resultado de la votación lo refleja,
pero el voto mayoritario a favor de los partidos no comunistas y anticomunistas
en las últimas décadas es sumamente relevante.

dependencia, con sanciones discrecionales para destruir a estos pueblos, con un

La
continuidad de la crisis sistémica es evidente. Pero las últimas décadas, en un
movimiento acelerado que una vez más nos hace sentir que nos enfrentamos a un
acontecimiento sin precedentes, la crisis, la acentúan con una escala e
intensidad nunca antes vistas.

mundial, de las manifestaciones feas y antidemocráticas del capitalismo
estadounidense, poniendo de relieve, al menos desde principios del siglo XX,
las formas más avanzadas de capitalismo y sus contradicciones estructurales52,
y de la transformación de todas las «costumbres civilizadas» «victorianas» que

la legalidad53 y lógica como sentido común visible que se mantenía
de una u otra forma antes.
No
debemos olvidar que, por un lado, el capitalismo mismo muestra el camino hacia
su propio avance y, por otro lado, obstaculiza este camino. No solo el
desarrollo de la tecnología requirió y requiere una gestión unitaria coherente
(un plan y formas de llevarlo a cabo) –y, obviamente, no solo a nivel de una
unidad económica, sino a nivel de toda la economía (nacional y, sí,
internacional)– sino también las relaciones capitalistas. La tecnología del
vuelo requiere una gestión internacional de reglas, trayectorias, tiempo, pero
la competencia capitalista que conduce a la transnacionalización de las actividades
económicas, a la concentración y centralización del capital, enfatizó la
necesidad de tener en cuenta todas las conexiones nacionales e internacionales
para el funcionamiento necesario54. En esto, el capitalismo expone
sus contradicciones estructurales relacionadas con la competencia y la
extorsión de ganancias. Con todas sus etapas que, funcionalmente son la industrial,
la ligera y pesada, la financiera 55, conducen a una economía
rentista que hace dinero para los oligarcas a partir del dinero56,
de la especulación, la compra de activos existentes y las guerras en lugar de
la producción; En el plano espacial, las etapas son nacionales
(concentración y centralización) y transnacionales. Cada etapa
garantizó un nuevo espacio para el desarrollo del capital y puso de manifiesto
las contradicciones irresolubles de dicho desarrollo.
Por
un lado, todo está conectado, según la lógica económica; por otro lado, todo
está restringido y limitado porque el objetivo capitalista es ganar dinero
ahora, y si la lógica económica genera dinero después, es mejor
fragmentarlo y venderlo. Además, por un lado, producir bienes valiosos
para la demanda (efectiva) es el propósito de la lógica económica, y obviamente
esto significa

a tantos compradores como sea posible, independientemente de los medios
utilizados y de sus resultados57; por otro lado, dado que cada
inversor actúa según esta misma lógica, es más fácil especular y ganar dinero comprando
y vendiendo.
Pero
¿cuáles son los bienes buenos? Dado que el gusto es relativo, y los
criterios de las necesidades (alimentos, etc.) nos confunden y no anulan la
relatividad que disuelve el valor de los bienes económicos, la característica
que engloba todas estas diferencias y criterios es la universalización
de los bienes. Todos comen, viven, etc., pero nadie compra tanques, bombas,
cohetes. Por lo tanto, las características parasitarias y malignas del
capitalismo son el resultado de la deformación del ciclo económico de
oferta y demanda: de la producción de medios de muerte, derrochando
materia, energía, creatividad humana y destruyendo la naturaleza, y destruyendo
directa e indirectamente vidas humanas, aumentando el sufrimiento y prometiendo
un futuro más oscuro debido a la absurda deuda de los estados, resultante
principalmente del gasto militar58 y pagada por la población,
mientras que los estados hegemónicos no la pagarán59. La deuda neta
de EE. UU. se acerca ahora al 100 por ciento del ingreso nacional, (pero) los
acreedores nacionales y extranjeros no mostraron signos de fatiga de la deuda60.
¿Por qué? Porque saben que la única solución para ellos es continuar con este
absurdo carrusel. Una vez más, la economía capitalista se presenta como un esquema
Ponzi, donde los especuladores en la cima obtienen ganancias asegurando la
entrada permanente de dinero en la base, por cualquier medio, sin importar las
consecuencias nefastas para la economía en sí. La única solución del
capitalismo es continuar y exacerbar las guerras61 y la destrucción
general62, con la esperanza de que las nuevas fuentes de ganancia no
solo le reporten beneficios, sino una dominación de clase para siempre.

el capitalismo refuerza la creencia de que la naturaleza es capaz de reabsorber
y disolver todos los aspectos nocivos de la producción capitalista.
Una
vez más, el capitalismo es un sistema mundial. Y es un «espaciófago», ya
que siempre necesita nuevos mercados de materias primas, energía y
consumidores: es una economía extensiva por naturaleza,
independientemente de las intensivas marcas derivadas del desarrollo
tecnológico y de la propensión a una economía circular; como si se
tratara de una sociedad antigua basada en la escasez de medios de subsistencia.
En realidad, la tasa de ganancia ha disminuido, mientras que el beneficio
financiero no es suficiente para la economía real que debe satisfacer la
demanda; por lo tanto, el capitalismo debe adquirir nuevas fuentes de ganancia,
debe extraerlas de la naturaleza y de la gestión no capitalista, y debe
absorberlas. Así, el capitalismo es también un «tiempófago»: desperdicia el
tiempo en innovar nuevas formas y medios de economizar y administrar
coherentemente los recursos naturales y humanos.
Al
mismo tiempo, al mostrar el camino hacia su propia superación, el capitalismo
asumió una preocupación histórica de las clases dirigentes por aliviar y
mejorar la condición de los pobres63 con el fin de desalentar y
disuadir las revueltas. Pero la eventual propensión moral de los principales
representantes oficiales no fue ni es suficiente, y se ve contrarrestada tanto
por la imposibilidad estructural de universalizar un régimen económico de
bienestar en todo el mundo —porque la conquista capitalista de nuevos espacios
económicos solo garantiza el estado de bienestar de los conquistadores— como
por la pobreza estructural de los valores morales capitalistas, su reducción a
la prosperidad y la felicidad individualista.
(8) The crisis46
Capitalism is in its system crisis.
As it
is known, Lenin
– following Marx’s demonstrations related to the
contradictions and structural limits of the victory of capitalism over the feudal regime – gave its
first theoretical description: when the former/dominant classes can no longer stabilize
the system they created and when the new classes are not yet able to conduct
society toward the structure that assures it a better, fairer and more
efficient development47 . Concretely, the conventional starting
moment of the capitalist system crisis was the beginning of WWI, which proved
that, with the entire development of productive forces (of civilization), as well as with the ugly extorting of wealth
from the colonies covering a much bigger surface of Terra than the imperialist
metropoles, the economic competition between these ones is so huge that their
peaceful guise illustrated by so many legal documents endorsing beautiful
utopian liberal principles cracked.
Capitalism is, by its core relations, a world
system. As a world system did capitalism enter its root crisis. For this
reason, the cure can be only systemic, on a world scale48. And for
this reason, the system crisis is a “system of system crises”, as both manifestations
in all the countries and as manifestations in all the domains (economy,
science and technology, policies, civilization, culture, psyche, nation-states,
geopolitics). Obviously, the intensity of the system crisis was and is not the
same in all the places and time intervals. There were and are showcases of
countries of capitalism: the “First world” of the core capitalist system, that
must to be preserved regardless of the price paid by “the rest” and, generally,
by humanity. Also, there are the visible
guises of civilization – the
infrastructure of big cities, the mobile
phones used by everyone and the casual clothing worn by everyone, the
malls and the payment by cards, the
values of transience and relativity generally assumed, the spectator feature in
front of the mad occurrences which madly succeed one another and are thus,
considered an inevitable entertainment – which seem to add to the privileged
core, new countries as “allies”, which thus have or will have privileges, too.
Those outside this “gold billion”? Well, the single model, the single
alternative

The inter-war first official institutionalization
of the extreme-right governance, WWII and then the many wars and events on the
edge bringing us closer to the abyss49, on its brink, all certified
that capitalism is in its system crisis. The post- war welfare-state did not
mean that the inter-war fascism was an accident and that

extreme-right) coups to impose neo-colonialism in all the African countries

European countries; the military coups in Latin American countries against the
forces which fought for social development, and the extreme-right repression,
backed by the USA and Western European
powers, against these forces (1975-1983)…); the imperialist and
anti-communist policies in Asia, in order to contain communist China
(1949-today); and the “Cold War” anti-communist policies in order to contain
(this word means to overthrow, to destroy) the USSR and its European allies. As
well as the state terrorism in the democratic Western states – through
the collaboration of state intelligence agencies and non-state neo-fascist
groups, forged and supported by the state – in order to frighten the population
and stop the pressure of unions (as in 1969 Italy) and the protests promoted
especially by young (1968-1969, especially France and Italy). In this frame, a
main strategy was the influence: 1) on left-wing young protesters to respond to
the “passivity” of the state and the extreme-right terrorism with opposed
terrorism justified as conquest of power with arms, a movement that was to
compromise the left-wing ideas, and 2) on the communist leaders to accept and
promote the position of not opposing to the right-wing parties in power (this
was the “compromesso storico” of Berlinguer), that is, of not
promoting the reason-to-be of communist parties: to permanently, clearly
and loudly show that the democratic reforms within the capitalist system are not enough for the solving of deep
contradictions of this system, and that the only way is to transform the structural power/economic relations. The
result of class collaboration in capitalism – as it was in the Western
“Eurocommunism” – was neither the presence of communists in governs of
“national solidarity/unity” and nor the increase of left-wing policies in the
capitalist reforms: but the irrevocable decrease of the prestige and power
of communist ideas. The context is always important and the vote reflects
it, but the majority’s vote for non- and anti-communist parties in the last
decades is highly relevant.
“capitalism is
democracy (human rights) and general prosperity”: because the democratic
“welfare state” was in tandem with the savage wars against the peoples who
wanted to remove their colony and dependence status, in tandem with
discretionary sanctions in order to destroy these peoples, in tandem with
cynical “political realism”.
The continuity of the system crisis is
obvious. But the last decades – in an accelerated movement that once more leads
to the impression that we are hit by an unprecedented event, the crisis – emphasize
it on an unprecedented scale and intensity. It is not about “quantity”50, but
about the taking over, by the European51 and world
capitalism, of the ugly, non-democratic manifestations of the American
capitalism highlighting at least from the beginning of the 20th century the most advanced forms of capitalism
and its structural contradictions52, and about the transformation of
all the “Victorian” “civilized manners” which covered it before. The behaviors
of the Western leaders and propaganda deviate from the appearances of
politeness, respect

logic as visible common sense maintained in one way or another before.
We must not forget that, on the one hand,
capitalism itself shows the path to- ward its own overtaking and, on the other
hand, hinders this path. Not only the
development of technology required and requires a coherent unitary
management (a plan and ways of carrying it out) – and, obviously, not only at
the level of an economic unit, but at the level of the entire (national and,
yes, international) economy– but also the capitalist relations. The technology
of flight requires international management of rules, trajectories, time, but
the capitalist competition leading to trans-nationalization of economic activities,
to concentration and centralization of capital, emphasized
the necessity to take into account all the national and international connections
for necessary functioning54. In this, capitalism exposes its
structural contradictions related to competition and extortion of profit. With
all its stages which, functionally are the industrial, light and
heavy, financial55, leading to a rentier economy that
makes money for oligarchs from money56, from speculation, buying of
existing assets, and wars rather than from production; while spatially,
the stages are national (concentration and centralization) and transnational.
Every stage assured new room for the development of capital, and every stage
highlighted the unsolvable contradictions of this development.
On the one hand, everything is connected,
according to the economic logic; on the other hand, everything is restrictively
forged and shrunk because the capitalist goal is to make money now, and
if the economic logic brings money after, it’s better to fragment it and
to sell it. Also, on the one hand, to produce valuable goods for
(effective) demand is the purpose of economic logic, and obviously this
means

to catch as many
buyers as possible, irrespective of the means used and of their results57; on
the other hand, because every investor acts according to this same logic, it’s
easier to speculate and make money from selling-buying money.
But which are the good goods? Since
taste is relative, and the criteria of needs (food etc.) confuse us and do not
annul the relativity that dissolves the value of economic goods, the feature
encompassing all of these differences and criteria is the universalizability
of goods. Everyone eats, dwells etc., but no one buys tanks, bombs, rockets. Therefore,
the parasitic and malignant characteristics of capitalism are the result of the
deformation of the supply and demand economic cycle: of the production of
means of death, wasting matter, energy, human creativity and destroying
nature, and directly and indirectly destroying human lives, increasing the
suffering and promising a darker future because of the absurd debt of states,
resulting mostly from military spending58 and paid by the
population, while the hegemon states will not pay it59. The US “net
debt is now nearing 100 percent of national income, (but) creditors at home and
abroad showed no signs of debt fatigue”60. Why? Because they know that the only solution for
them is to continue this absurd carrousel. Once more, the capitalist economy
presents itself as a Ponzi scheme, where the speculators at the top
obtain profits by determining the permanent entrance of money at the bottom,
with all means, irrespective of the malignant results on the economy as such.
The only solution of capitalism is to continue and exacerbate the wars61
and general destruction62, hoping that the new sources of profit
will bring it not simply profits, but a forever class domination.

Once more, capitalism is a world system.
And it is a “space-phage”, since it always needs new markets of raw materials,
energy and consumers: it is an extensive economy by its nature,
irrespective of the intensive marks resulting from the development of
technology from the propensity for a circular economy: as if it would be
an old society based on the rarity of livelihood. Actually, the profit rate
decreased, while the financial profit is not enough for the real economy that
must supply the demands; therefore, capitalism must acquire new sources of
profit, must tear them out from nature and non-capitalist management, and must
absorb them. Thus, capitalism is also a “time-phage”: it wastes the time for
innovating new ways and means of economizing and coherently administering the
natural and human resources.
At the same time, by showing the path
toward its own overtaking, capitalism took over a historical preoccupation of leading
strata to alleviate and better the condition of the poor63 in order
to discourage and dissuade revolts. But the eventual moral propensity of
leading official representatives was and is not enough, and it is countered by
both the structural impossibility to universalize a welfare economic regime
worldwide – because the capitalist conquest of new economic spaces assures only
the welfare state of the conquerors – and the structural poverty of the
capitalist moral values, their reduction to prosperity and individualistic happiness.
